Lilac Easy Wrap

  • When I designed this pattern over 10 years ago, I did not know about cultural appropriation.  The Kimono is a treasured garment in Japan, and I learned that it is wrong to use a cultural term to describe a garment here in the USA.  So I decided to come up with a new Paradiso name!

Please meet the Lilac Easy Wrap!

The very first Paradiso Lilac Easy Wrap was created with vintage silk kimonos. Now the original Lilac pattern is updated and can be made with different fabrics to create cover-ups for warm or cold weather. Use chiffon without lining to make a beachy summer cover up OR denim for fall OR wool for winter.  I just made a new Lilac Wrap with sweater knit with a chunky belt! The Lilac is an adaptable pattern to make the perfect jacket or coat! New details include exterior pockets and side ties OR use the original casing tie. Materials to use: chiffon, cotton, double gauze, flannel, lightweight denim, lightweight wool, OR stable woven fabrics.

****Sell finished items! You (the purchaser of this pattern) can sell finished Lilac Wraps made using this pattern (on a home-based scale), credit/tag especially on social media to Cheryl Kuczek, @cherylofparadiso, www.paradisodesigns.com and #lilacwrapparadiso @paradisosewingpatterns.....I will be grateful and appreciative! Thank-you!
